Initial Idea: I am thinking about use FSR(Force-Sensitive Resistor) as my input and LED as my output. Basically, if you press the FSR harshly, you will see “HATE” shown by LED’s light. Otherwise, you will see “LOVE”. To make it prettier, I am thinking that to mask my breadboard with something but the light can be seen.

However, my Arduino is so small for a lot of LEDs so I decide to not use alphabet for my project. My project is not complicated so hopefully it will look nice.  After I did the above, I want to revise my code to make it more interesting, like the pattern of the light.

This is the first try:

Progress

I decide to use FSR as my analog input, and LEDs and the speaker as my output. (The right part of this picture.) The basic idea is that, my FSR will be covered with a simple flower drawing, so as my LEDs. When I press the FSR harshly, my LEDs show a bad face. Otherwise, my LEDs show a good face.

(I think my project1 is a toy to educate children, don’t do this to flowers in real life…)

It really took me a long time to prepare the wires for the LEDs.

Prepare FSR and resistors for LEDs

I had some struggles to make my LEDs bright. I think the reason is that I put them into another breadboard. When I take them out, they become bright, but when I insert them into the breadboard, they don’t work.

I finally find a good position to make them work.

Put on my flower:
